World Innovation – PC interface for equalizer settings
The phenomenal sound features of the Bremen MP74 can all be accessed using the radio control panel with its excellent fully graphical display. And for real sound freaks and professional installers, we have even gone a step further: we have implemented an interface to connect the car radio with a PC. The connection cord including software is now available as an optional accessory, making it possible to display all the sound settings easily and conveniently on the large screen of a notebook, for example, and to alter them in real time. All the equalizer and filter settings can be saved and retrieved to make comparisons between the different settings as easy as possible. And it gets even better: in this way, the Bremen MP74 can also be used as a real third-octave band analyser, which can measure and visualise the actual in-vehicle frequency response.

Luxury on a broad base
The convenience of visualising the equalizer functions on a PC is not restricted to Blaupunkt’s top-of-the-line system; it can also be had in all the other DigiCeiver models in the 2004 generation. The fully parametric 5-band equalizers in the Casablanca MP54, the Acapulco MP54, the Woodstock DAB 54, the Seattle MP74 and the Los Angeles MP74 can also be “remote-controlled” using the same serial interface. However, it is not possible to display the in-vehicle frequency response measured for these car radios.
