Membrane
The moving part of the speaker which converts the electronic energy from the amplifier into sound. Cone-shaped membranes are usually used for the bass and mid-range frequencies, while the tweeters have dome-type membranes. The membranes in high-quality Blaupunkt speakers are usually made of polypropylene, which is characterised by high stability over long periods and resistance to environmental factors while exhibiting excellent sound properties.

Mix
CD tracks are played in random order. The A 08 CD changer for Skyline car radios plays random tracks from all of the CDs in the magazine (= Mag Mix).

MosFet transistors
Metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors. Particularly effective in power consumption because they generate less heat and switch quickly, but not necessarily better than normal bipolar transistors as far as the sound is concerned. Ideal for use in the switch-mode power supplies of high-power amplifiers to guarantee a constantly stable and high power supply.

Multicolour display
Display in different colours for the different display segments to differentiate visually between the various functions displayed and to improve the appeal of the equipment design. The headline is usually highlighted to make it easier to read.

Multipath interference
The radio waves emitted directly by the radio station are overlaid with reflected signals (e.g. from apartment buildings, mountains, etc.) which are received with a slight time delay. The Blaupunkt Codem ® tuner concept effectively minimises multipath interference.
