Scan
Scans all radio stations within reception range (Radio Scan), preset station buttons (Preset Scan) or music titles (CD Scan, CC Scan).

Sharx ®
Digital adaptive filter designed to optimise channel separation in the receiver. Even station signals which are extremely close to one another are separated cleanly. Sharx is part of the DigiCeiver concept.

Signal/Noise ratio (S/N)
Maximum possible ratio of the music signal to the basic noise, measured in decibels. The higher the value, the better the quality of the equipment.

SMS
Short Message Service. Sending and receiving short text messages via the GSM network.

Softkeys
Keys at the side of the car radio display which are allocated different functions on the display depending on the sound source or the operating menu (e.g. tuner station keys, CD Mix, Mag Mix, Scan, AUD Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader, Equaliser etc.)

Station Naming
ST Name: With the help of this function, it is possible to enter any station name (maximum of 8 characters) for a radio station stored on one of the preset buttons.

Source Tone Memory
The settings for bass/treble can be adjusted separately for each sound source to compensate for differences in sound quality.

Sub-Out
Separate Preamp output with preceding low pass.

Subwoofer
Additional low bass speaker which is controlled by an (integrated or separate) amplifier with a low pass.
