Telematics
Combination of telecommunications and informatics which optimises traffic flow on the existing road network. A wide range of individual services to optimise personal route and time plans is available from service providers.

 

TIM
A digital memory developed by Blaupunkt which can record up to 4 traffic messages with a total length of 4 minutes. The TIM memory updates itself automatically. The system also records messages when the car radio is switched off at the time chosen in a freely selectable time frame. The messages can be retrieved by pressing the blue TIM button, whereby the most recent message is played first.

 

TMC
Traffic Message Channel –
a digital traffic information data channel with constantly updated data on traffic conditions. TMC receivers allow the user to select data by entering such information as travelling direction, road class and number as well as selection area. The latest information, selected to suit the user’s individual needs, is then available at the touch of a button.

 

TMC-DriveCard
The TMC Drive Card is a data storage medium. It contains the locations (e.g. motorways, junctions, exits) of the country concerned as well as the language code used for the message output. In the future it will be possible to hear traffic information in your own mother tongue in a foreign country (e.g. French information in German).

 

TOM
(Turn-On Message) Freely selectable text with a maximum of 48 characters, which can be stored on the second KeyCard available from an authorised dealer and will appear in the display each time the radio is switched on. Available for all KeyCard radios.

TPM
Track Program Memory. An electronic memory which programs selected tracks from your CDs for playback. In CD tuners, it is possible to store a total of 30 CDs with a maximum of 20 tracks each, in combination with CD changers, up to 99 CDs with a maximum of 20 tracks each can be programmed (only for the car radios listed below).

 

Travelstore
Automatic search function which stores the six radio stations with the strongest reception signals sorted according to signal strength in a special memory bank at the touch of a button.

 

Triaxial speakers
Three-way speakers whereby the mid-range tweeter is positioned in the centre of the bass speaker on one axis and the tweeter is on another axis on the side.

Radio reception unit in a car radio, for example Codem ®
